Step 1: Safety First

Before starting any maintenance or replacement procedure, ensure your Shredder Vac is powered off and unplugged. Additionally, wear safety gloves and goggles to protect yourself from any potential hazards during the process.

Step 2: Remove the Housing

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the housing of your Shredder Vac. Carefully lift off the housing, exposing the internal components. Place the housing and screws in a safe location for reassembly later.

Step 3: Locate the Blower Fan

Once the housing is removed, locate the blower fan. It is usually situated near the motor assembly. Take note of its position and the way it is attached to the motor shaft.

Step 4: Disconnect the Blower Fan

Using a wrench set, carefully disconnect the blower fan from the motor shaft. Keep track of any washers or spacers that may be present, as these will need to be reinstalled correctly.

Step 5: Remove the Old Blower Fan

With the blower fan disconnected, gently pull it off the motor shaft. Be mindful of any resistance, and if necessary, use a gentle rocking motion to loosen the fan from the shaft.

Step 6: Install the New Blower Fan

Place the new blower fan onto the motor shaft in the same orientation as the old one. Ensure that any washers or spacers are reinstalled as per the original configuration.

Step 7: Reconnect the Blower Fan

Using the wrench set, reconnect the blower fan to the motor shaft securely. Double-check that it is firmly attached to avoid any wobbling or misalignment during operation.

Step 8: Reassemble the Housing

Carefully position the housing back onto the Shredder Vac, aligning it with the original screw holes. Secure the housing by tightening the screws with a screwdriver.

Step 9: Test the Shredder Vac

Plug in your Shredder Vac and power it on. Test the functionality of the new blower fan by running the machine briefly. Listen for any unusual noises and ensure that the fan operates smoothly.
